Wolfram Schaefer

Wolfram Schaefer is an experienced executive noted for his strategic insight in operations, business planning, customer care, and entry into new market segments. He brings a deep knowledge of accelerating growth and optimization to Phoenix3 Holdings, with expertise in the hospitality procurement services, industrial maintenance services, and food services industries. Wolfram’s background as an executive encompasses overseeing strategic direction, business planning, managing board relationships, and streamlining overall operations including sales, marketing, customer operations, strategic sourcing, IT, finance, and HR.

Wolfram served as Avendra’s President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer, where he spearheaded major strategy initiatives and led the sale of Avendra to Aramark in a competitive process resulting in a $1.35B transaction (~16x EBITDA, the largest single acquisition by Aramark). Previously, Wolfram was based in Switzerland and served as Chief Operating Officer Europe for NCH Corporation. Before that he served as President of LSG Sky Chefs Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. He began his career with McKinsey & Company, working out of offices in Frankfurt and Chicago.

Wolfram currently serves as an independent management consultant and senior advisor to companies in hospitality and other service-based industries, with a focus on procurement strategy, GPO optimization, and business strategy development.

Wolfram graduated with distinction from Northwestern University with a Master of Management degree. He holds a Master’s equivalent degree in computer science and business administration from the Technical University Darmstadt in Germany.
